The Ancestry of Michael Ronald Spieth

I’ve had an ancestry website since 2007, and the last version of it is linked to above. The “legacy” is that the site grew and grew, with the help of many other people. But the software was always old, in fact it was discontinued two years before the ancestry site even appeared. Here we are nearly twenty years later, and dammit, it all still works. The world moves on, however, and the Search Engine Gods and their robots have turned away, refusing to look any more.

It’s all still up there, but something new is needed. I intend, slowly, to bring some of that wealth of information into the new site, yet some parts will never come across, I’m afraid. The photo galleries will be relatively easy, but those big family tree charts are likely too much for me. Maybe they can be imported in their old form. Lots more to learn here.
